Amelie sighed, there was still so much she had to do before school started. She looked at the stack of paperwork on both sides of her desk. The one on the left - the finished ones - consisted of only two pieces of parchment; the one on her right, however, was almost as high as her head - when she sat straight! She placed the one she was currently working on on the pile to her left.

"Three down, a whole lot more to go." She mumbled to herself. She moved to grab another from the pile on her right when a knock to her door made her pause.

She looked up and turned to the door. Had she imagined it? Her eyebrows lifted in surprise when the knock began once more. She looked down at her attire: a bright red short-sleeved blouse, a pair of black slacks, and three-inch black heels. She reached for her wand - just in case - and aimed it at the door, hiding it from view by using her desk.

"Come in," called out Amelie.

Gio smiled to himself as he walked through the halls of the school he once attended. He had apparated away from the ministry after his latest meeting, wanting to simply visit his wife. He paused in front of her door, dusting himself off and making sure he looked decent and presentable. He knocked on the door before pausing to kick some soot off his shoes. He knocked once more and grinned when he was let in.

"Good afternoon, love." He greeted with a smile as he entered the room. He closed the door and walked on over to her. He placed both of his hands on her desk and leaned down so they were face to face. He gave her a chaste kiss and smiled.

"What do you say to lunch?" He asked with a wink as he grabbed her hand and pulled her around and out from behind her desk.

Amelie smiled at the sight of her husband. She pocketed her wand as Gio pulled her around the desk. Laughing, she hugged him.

"What's the occasion, Mister Prideux?" She asked, letting her fingers intertwine in her husband's chocolate locks. "Shouldn't you be in the Ministry, or something?" She smiled up at him, giving him a chaste kiss as well. "But I am busy..." She trailed off, motioning to the paperwork on her desk. "But lunch does sound good right about now..."

She sighed and buried her face into his chest, hugging him closer and tighter.
